Ahhhhhh! The drums! The slow effective build! The sudden transition to the sweet hammered string instrument! The cool music scale used for the later strings! I love it all! I would love to hear a longer version.

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you very much. Very gpad you like it. I'll probably extend it at some point.

I could really feel the picture when the low background drums came in, and I think it was neat how they doubled the low brass. I think several of the instruments sound too dry, keeping them from feeling as grand and large as they would otherwise. Great music!

Jay-Turner responds:

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you like it! I'll consider your point, perhaps I'll add a touch of reverb in future to account for the dryness.

My ears are really enjoying the exciting and bittersweet sound of this music. I like the progression throughout the song, building into the different dynamics. My favorite part might be the transition region from 02:59 to 03:13. The ending is quite nice.

Dylnmatrix responds:

Thanks a lot, man! Appreciate the review!

Sweet! The lead instrument sounded a little weak in some places, particularly after the key change. I think giving the lead instrument a little more "impact" at 03:44 and afterward might have helped. Something similar to the lead around 01:54 but with more volume and edge.

AeronMusic responds:

Okay thanks!

Fun! I prefer steam-powered treehouses, though. Grin.

BenTibbetts responds:

:-D

I can't really criticize this. It sounds great. The overall mix might be a bit quiet?

oxy78414 responds:

thanks dude! i agree, this is a pretty old mix, too. i have a nasty habit of uploading semi-complete WiPs to places and never revisiting them, but this is one that i'm hopefully eventually going to re-record/produce.

glad you liked it though, thanks for the review!

Thank you for gracing Newgrounds with amazing vocals, good lady.

This music is going in my "inspirational stuff" folder.

LadyArsenic responds:

=) My pleasure! I'm really glad you can enjoy it as much as you do. Thank you for listening!

You are evil. I enjoyed nineteen seconds of bliss, only to find myself so soon dumped right back into reality. Grin.

LadyArsenic responds:

Hee! I'm so glad you could enjoy it that much!
Thank you for listening! <3

Beautiful notes. Great... everything! I even love the sudden (but not harsh) change to the guitar part (though the switch back to piano didn't quite feel right). The synths blend into the mix very well! My complaint is that many things feel way too isolated to one stereo channel or the other. Even if you don't fix that, I'll fix it on my copy right after I download it. :)

johnfn responds:

Thanks! Yeah so about the hard panning - I actually got that idea when I was listening to some old 60's music. Musicians would often pan the guitar solo hard left and the chords hard right - probably because they didn't have sophisticated mixing equipment, come to think of it - but our ears would be pretty good at listening to it as an entire piece. I'm going to guess that the problem in my piece is the sudden switch between non panned and panned, so I'll have to keep that in mind...

Thanks for leaving a review :-)

Great loop!

BenTibbetts responds:

Thank you!
