I think... I think I have ascended to a higher plane of existence.

Thanks for this lovey improv. For some reason I'm imagining it as the menu music for a visual novel.

XayberOptix responds:

If you have a novel in mind, I'd sure love to check it out! :) Thanks for your words of encouragement.

I love all the interesting sounds. Good melody, and repetitive in a /good/ way. :)

Nice ending wobble, too.

OpenLight responds:

Thank you! Especially for making a note of that ending wobble haha. That was somewhat of an accident that I turned into something I really liked, so I'm glad someone else liked it too.

Thanks for the review.

Wow, beautiful music and beautiful words. It pains me that my psychological problems are withholding me from once again excelling at computer programming and music (or anything at all), but at least I am still able to enrich the lives of others in small ways. :)

I'm imagining this track with live violin playing. That would be delicious.

(The text in the video is really hard to read because the color is similar to the background in places.)

Calamaistr responds:

Yeah i know, i noticed these things, also one of the words was mispelled but i cant be arsed to rerender it on yt. Anyway, also look as your struggling as a journey that inspires your music and perhaps also your programming, if not during, then it will definately give you willpower to do so after. It does for me, without my abillity to make music i wouldve ended it a long time ago. -cal.

Wow, nice work with LMMS.

DJStriden responds:

Thank you :)

I love the chords and notes. It's remarkably similar to the Legend of Zelda "Song of Storms".

Azhthar responds:

Wow!!! I just listened to Zelda "Song of Storms". Is it possible to cover a track without even knowing it??? I never played Zelda (except the old gameboy piece) since I didnĀ“t got a Nintendo... But the melody and the chords are so similar that this is nearly impossible. Maybe I heard it at some point and got it in the background of my head or something. Thanks a lot for letting me know. I guess I should reconsider the track!!!

I am very stressed right now, and this music feels so good and relaxing. Thank you!

MrNightVarga responds:

Glad you liked it =) Thank you for listening.

It's a cool idea. It reminds me a lot of the lovely Aquaria soundtrack! http://infiniteammo.bandcamp.com/album/aquaria-original-soundtrack

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Holy crap o.O
I can definitely see the resemblance; thanks for showing me that! The first song even has the same chord progression, if I'm not mistaken :D

Pretty cool. The piece seems to get strangely louder in some places, like at 00:38 and 01:45. Also, there are a few panning glitches, like at 00:44. Also, the build in volume could be executed better, but it works.

Anyway, this is a fun rendition of a fun tune. Here's a nifty version by a guy who calls himself "CobaltBW": http://sapphirecontrol.net/music/vg/fzero-bigblue-r1.mp3

MeisterMach5 responds:

Thanks for the review, Krich! Nothing gets by you, so I enjoy seeing what you have to say (in which I hopefully fix the issues you address in the near future). The panning in this one was a pain to pull off because I have to CLICK to choose how far left and right I want it and exactly when. So even the smallest mistake, by that I mean a single pixels size, will ruin the track. FL Studio FML.

This sounds like an "overworld" or "sailing" theme for an RPG. It reminds me of the old NES game Dragon Quest II (Dragon Warrior II in North America).

BenTibbetts responds:

That's a flattering comparison. Thanks very much. :)

The loop point is not smooth, but this is a pleasant enough loop that I think I'll let it keep running as I practice hiragana. :] Lovely instrumentation.

SilverPoyozo responds:

Sadly... something is wrong here on my end that makes it sound seamless. But thanks, took a while to finish this :D

Half-baked coder, musician, and writer. Chronically ill. Possibly a vampire. I want chocolate.
