A very fun composition with a strong melody. (And nothing else, lol.) I like this piece exactly how it is.

Thanks! :)
Woah, this is just cool. Mysterious and ethereal. Awesome for a 16-second loop. I'd love to hear a full length composition build around this.
Thanks! You know, many people say they want my short loops to be made into longer compositions. I guess I'll have to make those wishes into a reality someday XD
This is wonderful for a visual novel menu. Immersion from the get-go!
00:32 gave me chills.
I think the end should be given a little more time to die down before looping. One more measure with just atmospheric sounds (or possibly with really quiet synth or guitar notes).
I am really relieved that you think that! I am definitely going back and reworking the loop. I'll give that a shot.
Glad you like it man!
Yay tinwhistles! Your Clarke D sounds a little better than mine. Maybe because mine was unplayable when it came in the mail, and I beat on it with a pair of pliers to fix it. :D
I think this track does what it does very well. It feels very... uplifting.
The tinwhistle is kinda buried under all the other stuff, but that doesn't bother me.
Props for getting some live tinwhistle and acoustic guitar on Newgrounds!
Thank you good sir!
Man, I know how you feel. It's remarkable all the ideas I have than only manifest as a pile of digital crap. Every now and then something actually works. But when I do have a "successful" project, suddenly all that failure feels worthwhile. Perhaps that is what life is made of. :)
This is a beautiful composition, though I think it would benefit a lot from more variation of note volumes.
To me, the most negative aspect of this piece is just the low quality (and I presume inflexibility) of the instruments used. The piano in particular sounds stiff and fake/weak.
I just use what's at my disposal. Unfortunately, I do not have the rig nor the cash to get the instruments I wanted to get earlier this year, so I'm limited to the free piano vst's I have and my ability to mix them.
I did put in note volume variation, though unfortunately I was not able to come up with an efficient way of presenting my piano melodies and harmonies in a non-monotonous manner. I just hoped that the composition itself would stand out enough.
Anyway, thank you for the review!
There's a lot of overlap in the sounds of folk instruments. I enjoy trying to recreate the sounds of different cultures using the "wrong" instruments. :D
This track is pretty random and wandering- but I think it works well like that, especially with the atmospheric sounds (birds and thunder). I would love to here something like this played live somewhere out in a forest-y area as a background music to whatever event was going on. (Similar to how they play bluegrass music at Dollywood and Silver Dollar City.)
I would definitely be up to playing stuff like this live... if I had anyone to play the other instruments! :D
Thanks for the review man. :)
Oh, I love that game, and I love the FE:A track that sounds most similar to your track here. :D
Yes, this is very simple, but there is nothing displeasant about it and, despite having few and sparse instruments, it never sounds 'empty' to me. I like it!
Well, no reviews, but it looks like ten people voted 5/5! :D
This is a nice chill jazzy track, and a track enjoyable by one such as I who does not have a particular taste for jazzy stuff.
Thank you for your comment, good to see you again :D
Ah. So very relaxing. I might listen to this track a lot today.
The beginning was really moving.
Thanks for the review!
