Beautiful and flawless, as usual. And so very dark and reflective. Music like this makes me want to write stories and movies.

Anyway, this is what came to my mind:

Stars wink as Jacob wanders around the neighborhood by the light of streetlamps. The cool air is the only thing in this world that seems soothing as he reflects on what was, and considers what now is.

Jacob has never been very socially active. Throughout his childhood he spent most of time in his room drawing things and writing story ideas. However, in eighth grade a new student, Silus, transferred to Jacob's school. Silus quickly became friends with Jacob and they spent many weekends together. Silus even dragged Jacob to a few social events, and through this Jacob became more familiar with and comfortable around his classmates. Jacob and Silus had great plans for the summer, but as soon as school was over Silus's family moved away.

There was never a summer when Jacob was not alone, but now it pained him. Will he ever hear from Silus again? Will he be able to associate with his classmates once school starts in August? How long and terrible will this summer be?

BlazingDragon responds:

Ahh, how this reminds me in some ways of my own childhood. Like Jacob, I was a very introverted youth. In seventh grade I made a friend named Michael, and he did so much to encourage and inspire me. He was a true extrovert and brought me somewhat out of my shell. He disappeared in the middle of the school year and I never did find out exactly what happened to him...

Thank you for sharing. You think you'd do very well writing stories and movies. :)

I'm sorry, but that was clearly a human tongue at the end. Troll raspberries have a very distinct character, something between the sounds of diarrhea and a mortally wounded cow.

samulis responds:

lol I'll take your word for it.

Enjoyable, good melody, nice construction and placement of sections. I can imagine a super cool high-quality remix of this.

I have big dreams but I'm more concerned about avoiding a lifelong nightmare than finding the big dream. I fear my current career path is out to kill my mind, so maybe I should try something different. :|

If "Twenty Fourteen" says that I don't have the will to achieve my big dreams, "Flavored Instant Noodles" says that, dreams or no dreams, I will find the place that I belong.

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks a lot for the review!
Here's hoping that you achieve your dreams and things turn out ok :)

Ha! That's some deep stuff there - and I like it!

I think the rigidness of the chimes stands out strangely against the organicness of the rest of the instruments, perhaps mostly because of the fixed steady chime beat in most places. Also, the instruments sound like they are running into each other in places. I don't really have any advice to give. Just complaints. :]

Props for recording real instruments. I rather like the zither sweeps and the percussion.

samulis responds:

Thanks for the feedback... it was a bit challenging to figure out what to do with the chimes, but I found the arpeggio worked great in the context.

You did very good. You may return to your comfort zone.

What did Nimble request?

Step responds:

This was his request!
"I personally would like either a feeling straight out of a smokey jazz bar, or out of one of Chopin's Nocturnes. or perhaps, a mix of the two. Contemporary stuff is really what I'm after. being different."

I tried my best :p. Really glad you like it.

No snow here either, but I was in Maryland a few weeks ago and had to sweep eight inches of the stuff off of my car for the first time. :D Thanks for the digital happy-snow!

The undying night. All is silent. All is frozen. Even time itself stands still. Those awake will never sleep again. Those asleep are locked in an eternal nightmare. Me, however- I'm going back under my blanket.

RyeGuyHead responds:

Sweet Dreams (are made of these)

Haha! Too funny! The music is great.

Devastus responds:

Glad you enjoy it!

Your voice sounds like it is too close to the microphone to me. Your singing and the instrumentals are fantastic!

Also: Congrats! You just got a new fan! :D

BEAUTIFUL! I'm shivering here. It starts so gentle and delicate, and builds perfectly. My only complaint is your first "joy" after the swell sounds a bit strange. For that, I take off 0.1 stars, which still rounds to 5 stars. XD

I love the way you used the bagpipes.

Half-baked coder, musician, and writer. Chronically ill. Possibly a vampire. I want chocolate.
