This is interesting and refreshingly different from the art I usually see on Newgrounds. It is especially impactful because I am listening to this music as I watch your animation: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/585572

I look forward to your future art submissions.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

The music by SoundChris is amazing indeed, and I can kinda see (or rather hear, or a combination of the both) how the composition gives an even more eery feel to my gif :p

Thanks for the review and for the encouraging words! :D

I have been transported to another world and I am HAPPY.

You are very imaginative.

The clouds and rays of light blend very well with the rest of the drawing.

Kamikaye responds:

That means a lot to me :) I'm glad that it made you feel that way !

I love the scrapped-together background, and the environment in general. Some things seem off with Sinon. The unforgivable wrong is that you have given her normal eyes instead of those magical Sinon eyes.

I love this. Seriously, I'm getting emotional about it. It looks "deep", like looking into an entire world, and it also looks "crystalline", which is personally significant to me. I feel like I see a world that I belong in, and I also feel like I see my past in this image. It's very complex and strange.

I see more of myself in this image than I see in a mirror.

Also, it has good composition and just outright looks nice. :)

BenTibbetts responds:

Thanks! I'm very glad you enjoy it.

I think "crystals" instead of "paper planes". Maybe I'm too literal. Grin. Anyway, check out this color remix: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32637406/Art/Remix/312408_benjamintibbetts_pink-paper-planes_REMIX.jpg

BenTibbetts responds:

Nice!

Nice! What software did you use?

This is pretty much exactly how the climactic point of Sword Art Online II episode 2 goes.

SkillSkillFiretruck responds:

Thanks. I used Photoshop. A bit of SAO influence snuck in with the gun. Other than that, I ghess maybe subconsciously for the jump and fast falling motion, of which I noticed after I finished this,

Quite a deep atmosphere there! This is the type of artwork that I could stare at for a long time, and just get lost in. (The "fat sparks" in the background seem weird to me, though.)

They combined to make an impactful image.

It's funny that a tree picture titled "Natural Value" would have such unnatural coloring. :P

BenTibbetts responds:

That's a good point. Maybe this would be more appealing if it was less saturated.

This picture makes me happy. :) Great work.

I'm happy with your painting. :] I know the feeling, though. It seems like I always see more errors in my drawings and music, and they are never "perfected".

Half-baked coder, musician, and writer. Chronically ill. Possibly a vampire. I want chocolate.
