People talk about having your head in the clouds as a bad thing. They don't realize just how breathtaking the view is.

Is this... an original quote? Might just be a new favorite! Well said.
Yeah, it's an original quote. ^^
Sometimes I have these random word blobs form in my mind that make me seem like some sort of sage. Like "shrimp are the bacon of the sea", "I took a sucker punch to the funny bone", and "all wars are caused by daylight savings time." Ahaha.
Hope you don't mind if I quote you on this quote! ;) lol, you do have a way with words!
Go for it.
It is because the fall "down to earth" from those clouds is so high that we call it a bad thing; the pain can be mortal. Though, I cannot empathize with the fallen, since I prefer 'mist' to 'clouds'.
I understand why people feel that way. But every time I fall down, it is having my head in the clouds that gives me the strength to get back up.
It is through worlds that do not exist that I can better see the beauty in this world. It is fiction that gives me purpose. I understand why people frown upon this, and I know that it doesn't work for everybody... but this is how I thrive.
I do not understand the 'mist' reference.
